I purchased this car new as my "last" car; the dream car I had always wanted. I am an old, retired Marine Corps General turning 89 in April. I must now give up my wonderful BMW. It has surpassed my every expectation, and has been trated like a prince since I took delivery in June 2003 from Otto's BMW in Pennsylavania. I took it on a long trip to gradually break it in and it has been babied its entire life. Of its miles,19000 were from 1000 mile trips each way as we go from Florida to Maryland and back each year since I bought the car.The remaining miles have been almost all vacation trips of several hundred miles; little or no sto and go driving. We use my wife's Lexus SUV for all that. There has never been any eating or smoking in the car and it looks and evern smells new. Lovely two-tone beige leather upholstery and wood appointments throughout. The car has never been revved above about 4200 or 4300 RPM, and only Slell high test gas has been used. All servicing has been by BMW dealers, and I have all service recoreds .as well as the original window sticker which was for $51,880. This is the perfect car for someone who has wanted a 5-series BMW from the last year before that "flame" design and the big "butt" was foisted on the 3 and 5 seies in 2004; this was the last of the E39's. The buyer can be sure that this octogenarian General neither abused the car nor failed to maintain it in accordance with the BMW Manual. This car will provide the new owner with years of great driving in a car with all the options except a sports package, but with everyting ellse.
