This is a 1970 Honda CT70 (Trail 70). It was restored about 15 years ago by the previous owner and is beautiful! Probably not for a collector as the frame has been powder coated a beautiful metallic Red color. Some new parts, many parts re-painted, or re-plated. Fenders, headlight rim, skip plate/downtube section, taillight bracket and spark plug guard were all re-chromed. Plate that holds gas tank was also chromed, (It's usually black, (see pic). The seat looks like it has been repaired in the spot where they always crack, has a nice seat cover with tool kit included. The handlebars are in good shape, the left side is slightly tweaked. The exhaust was replaced with a new one, (the type that doe not have a removable baffel). The top end was rebuilt and it only has a couple of hours on it. Bike starts right up, runs and shifts fine. Headlight high and low beam both work, taillight and breaklight both work. Speedometer works fine. And the bike has a rare, original, 'utility rack' in very nice condition. Also included are the California Title and the original owners manual. A couple of flaws I see are: The bike was originally Gold. The Trail 70 side badges and the Honda ID plate on the headstock were removed for the power coating, look a slight bit wrinkly and were double-stick taped back on. (I think you can get 'new' side badges) The wheels have a couple of 'dings' in them. The headlight bucket has a small crack at the mount on the left side, (see pic). The cables look a little old and discolored and could be replaced. And lastly, both front and rear brakes are worn and need new brake pads. If it sounds like I'm being a little nit-picky, just trying to give an accurate description. This bike gets comments from anyone who sees it. It's a beautiful bike and could be made even better with just a couple of things, (brake pads now, could also do the cables). Please remember, the buyer must pick this bike up in Altadena, CA., (near Pasadena). (NO SHIPPING!!!) Sold 'as is', sales are final, no returns.
