1972 AMX Javelin1 Owner California CarZ Code 401 V8 Go Package Very solid 1 owner California car, clean title. Not registered for many years, no dmv fees.Engine starts up and runs perfect, no smoke, misses, shakes or noise. This car has sat for 18 years but fired right up with fresh fuel and oil. No engine issues at all. Transmission leaks really bad, leaks out of fill tube or pan??? Not sure. Goes in gear but not drivable. Brakes do work but it has sat a long time so I recommend they are gone through. Interior is all there and is all original. Everything has a little damage and is dry rotted but its there and not tore up. gauges are nice and work as well as the lights and signals. Steering wheel is not original and has no horn. The body is in excellent condition. Very straight car except drivers fender. It has some rust around front and rear glass but not bad. The roof is very solid but looks bad in pics. No rust in fenders doors or quarters, trunk and floors are very solid. The hood has had the under shell removed and is only the factory fiberglass shell and it now pins on rather than hinging. Car was painted 1 time and its in bad shape, needs a repaint.All glass si good and windows go up and down good. Bumpers are near perfect and will shine up good. Trim and grill are good, all lights look good.The tires have a lot of tread but are old, the rims are in good shape as well as the factory rings and correct center caps.This car does start and run very good but has not been driven for about 18 years. It is an excellent car to restore and is a rare find. This is a real z code 401 amx car with rare go package. This car is loaded.I do have a lot of old receipts for the car as well as the original metal credit card warranty card that the car was issued with and it has the correct vin # on it.Please give me a call to arrange viewing or give me a call if you would like additional pics of anything.
