Vehicle Detail
2004 Bmw R 1200 C Montauk, Hard to Find, Easy to Love the BMW Montauk! - Masters the mountains. Rolls on the range. Whether cutting through mountain gaps or rolling along open plains, the new BMW Montauk was built for long rides through big sky country. Packed full of torque (72 lb/ft), its got ample energy to ascend winding mountain roads and an updated 5-speed gearbox to keep the miles rolling by smoothly. The Montauk also features BMW’s two spark ignition system, an advancement that improves exhaust emissions, fuel consumption and response, setting a new benchmark for cruiser performance. Stylistically, the Montauk retains the clean, elegant lines of the classic R 1200 C but with a few extras to give it a presence all its own. Complementing the purity of the open design, the Montauk features a more relaxed riding position. This extends riding comfort on long stretches of road. Like its touring cousin the R 1200 CL, the Montauk takes a broader stance with a widened BMW Telelever suspension up front and vertically arranged dual headlights. The Montauk looks equally imposing from the side. A higher, narrower passenger seat and redesigned side cover give the Montauk a powerful profile. For riders with a pioneering spirit and an appreciation for the updated aesthetic of the classic cruiser style, the Montauk provides an exciting, memorable journey. In all seriousness, this bike does everything well. It is comfortable, reliable, lightweight, easy to maneuver (low seat height), no crotch rocket physical gyrations, and beautiful to ride and look at. Look at the pictures. It's great. Can assist with shipping, if needed. THANKS FOR LOOKING! I'm the third owner of this bike. Maintenance, care, and polishing are done regularly. The motor always cranks and runs great. The battery was new in September 2012. The tires have about 2,500 miles left on them. It feels and looks great. The Seller is selling this bike in the USA only. The bike is being sold "as is."
