up for sale is my BMW 524 td, i bought it a couple years ago with the intention of doing a manual trans swap on it and turning it into my 40mpg work car, well I drove it for a year but ended up buying a new VW gti and that pretty much killed any motivation I had to do what I wanted with this car. the car runs good and drives there are a few quirks that is has, so it needs a little love. I have three other vehicles and not enough love to give them all. I need to free up some space and get rid of what I don't NEED so I can move. unfortunately this car isn't something I need any longer. the 524 td is pretty rare here in the states and are worth quite a bit, now this car is not show room quality and is expendable to me so here's your chance to pick one up cheap! as stated before it has it's quirks, so here they are: -needs new german fuses elecrtonics are a little buggy as a result. -spedometer only works sometimes, tachometer stopped turning over at 82, 360 so actual mileage is a question.-rear windows dont roll down-only rust on the car is a patch in the sunroof, doesn't leak but there is a hole.-needs new round of hoses I have been replacing them as they start leaking, but it could use them all being replaced, one of them is leaking antifreeze..-push button for ignition needs replaced, the actual key ignition in steering column is fine, just needs a new push button in the dash. -I BELIEVE solenoid in trans is going bad, when its cold it revs up pretty high before it shifts gears, but shifts normal after the first time, it can also be shifted by manually moving the shifter from one gear to another .-paint is OK but does have some wear to is in places.-needs new bulb inserts for tail lights block heater works which is good for anybody in cold weather like myself. car does get high 30s to low 40s for mileageI have driven it long distances and it does just fine. full size spare tire in bottom or trunk.strong running car.this diesel has lots of life left in it! for any questions/specifics my name is drew @ 309-525-3024 call or text
