Up for auction is a rare 1972 GMC Sprint (custom) cab. The GMC has been a North Carolina car all its life. It has had one repaint back to its original color which was 53T Bright Gold and Gloss Black. The body and paint are really nice with no rust through or bubbling. The floor pans are solid and original with no signs of any previous repairs or any repairs needed. The inside of bed was also repainted bright gold and floor was done with black bed liner which compliments the outside nicely. it also has factory tinted glass. the car comes with a new black vinyl top. however there is some bubbling under the original top that will need attention before replacing. some of the moldings and emblems are new. the rest are in good shape along with the bumpers. the interior is in nice shape. the original seat was reupholstered along with new arm rests. head liner is in good shape with no rips or tears. the original spare tire is still intact behind seat. there is a hairline crack on dash pad beside passenger side speaker and the carpet has some wear spots on drivers side. it has an aftermarket cassette player which plays but the antenna needs to be hooked up. it has new 15 x 8 inch corvette style rally wheels with new 3 inch trim rings + new disc brake flat caps. the tires are also like new with less than 200 miles on them. the fronts are 245 60 15 BF Goodrich and the backs are 255 60 15 BF Goodrich. it has a 350 motor with 2 barrell carb, 350 transmission and a 10 bolt rear. it has power steering power disc brakes and air conditioning all of which are believed to be original to the car. motor runs good and just had a new starter installed along with new AC spark plugs and oil and filter change. the AC will need a new clutch and belt for compressor. it was ice cold and worked fine until clutch froze up. engine compartment could use a good detailing. car also has dual exhaust which sounds good. all in all not a show car but a good solid original adult owned NC car. it comes with the original protecto plate and owners manual along with a folder of receipts for previous maintenance. reason for selling is I have another project I have to finish.
