Selling this 1940 Packard, 160, Series 1803, Club Sedan for NO RESERVE. It was a fresh barn find. The estate has asked me to assist in selling this fine piece of American Machinery. Packard's were commonly referred to as the American Rolls Royce. This pre-war beauty was kept in a heated garage. It was one of four Packard's to complete the Packard Challenge, three years ago. Since then, the elderly owner has kept this gem in solitude under cover. It is currently being sorted, new battery, oil change and washed. Packard's were driven by the well-healed class of America. Think, politicians, the Hollywood elite and the wealthy Americans that comprised the upper-crust of American society. This particular Packard is the Club Sedan. It has suicide doors that open out. The interior is very nice with the exception of the dash pieces, they have curled due to age and heat(see photo and video). However, they are readily available and have been reproduced. The door panels and headliner, along with the seats are very nice too. The undercarriage is clean and RUST-FREE. The chrome still shines bright and has some minor pitting. The paint although shiny has various chips and cracks(see video and photos). I have described this Packard like I would like it described to me. The videos do not hide anything. Everything blemish and defect has been disclosed. The Packard also rides on wide whitewall tires. All the hubcaps are present as is the vintage and correct 1940 California license plate. It has always been a West Coast car. It has a clean title and is ready for the next owner to take it to the next level. As with all my auctions, a few requirements. First, NO PAYPAL.
