Vehicle Detail

1957 Lambretta LD 150 Innocenti Here is my 1957 Lambretta LD150 Innocenti. I do not know much about these motor scooters except that my friend owned one back when I was in junior high school and we used to ride that thing everywhere! It was the most fun iin the world and it is what got me interested in motorcycles at a very young age. This Lambretta is almost totally complete and is in its unrestored original condition. The engine does turn over fine. I am not familiar with these and decided I would not try to work on it or restore it but hopefully it will go to a good home where someone will either restore it or use it. The bike was purchased in Ohio, near the site of Bunker Hill Air Force Base and the bike was part of the Air Force Strategic Air Command in 1961 and has its' original Air Force sticker on it numbered unit #1462. Please see picture of the sticker on the front of the bike. Rumor has it that this scooter was ridden by some of the Astronauts assigned to that base back then. I am trying to confirm this but the stickers confirm that the bike was used there. I have tried to take good pictures to show you thebike in every detail but will be happy to upload more pictures if you need to see other details of the bike. It retains its' original patina and cob webs, dust and dirt. Thank you so much for your interest. Please feel free to ask your questions and I will do my best to answer them for you. I will be ending the auction tonight if the bidding does not go any higher as I have found that these are extremely rare. I will just keep it. Thanks for trying. I appreciate those of you who have bid and I know you want the bike or you would not be bidding. But, I have just seen 2 side panels sell for 1200 dollars!!! I guess no body appreciates this rare Lambretta like I do. Auction sniping does not work with me becasue how am I supposed to know you are out there? Tom
