Vehicle Detail
The Recently retracted Bid had nothing to do with the Item. It was retracted by the Ebay Bidder for personal reasons. 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe Business coupe. California car with clear title. Runs, Drives, stops in a straight line. Barn find condition. The Good 6 volt system, optima battery. "Anti battery drain" circuit installed. Recently refurbished brake system (new master cylinder new wheel cylinders some new hard lines). Bias ply "firestone" pie crust tires, lots of tread left (Tube tires) 16" wheels, reverse thread wheel nuts on driver side. In the past (2005ish) I installed a new clutch, new starter new fuel pump, new dynamo, the radiator was rebuilt, new water pump, and a rebuilt carb. Installed a pertonix 6 volt electronic ignition. Recently has a new muffler, new plugs cap and leads (copper core) and had the brakes adjusted. It has seat belts and a reconditioned gas tank. It has a stock engine and transmission. The engine runs very well, and shifts well in all gears. I do have the radio for this car, but I don’t know if it works. The bad Vacuum wipers barely working--needs a kit. There is rust in the trunk lid on the edge and rust in the floor needs that small patches. There is very small rust areas below the rear lights and the interior needs upholstering. The outside is currently wiped over with "Linseed oil to protect patina". There are some cracks in the door's glass. The brake light does not work, needs a switch.I have a box of bits and pieces, and a manual and catalogs for spares. I will happily assist the winning bidder with shipping but will not be responsible for any customs charges if shipped over sea or any damage that occurs to the vehicle in shipping. For what it's worth, in 2005 we drove this car from California to New York and back, lost a hub cap and got one flat tire, but otherwise the car was fantastic. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. I'll happily give you any further details and information about the car that you might want to know. Thanks for looking!
