Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 2wd 1986 Toyota Van. It has the 2.2L four-cylinder motor coupled with a 5-speed automatic transmission. If you have ever owned one of these vans you know how versatile and reliable they are! The interior has brown seats which are in good condition with no major rips or tears in them and tan carpet (I just replaced the rear carpet). The exterior is the original light tan/yellow color. The tires are in good shape and still have some ware left in them. As you can see from the pictures the body is not in perfect shape, but it's not bad considering the van is 27 years old. I had planned on taking this van out camping (see the picture with the seats removed) but between marriage and work there just isn't time so I'm selling. I do not have the third row seat, it was that way when I got it. However, the middle seat does fold flat into a small bed. The fan blows air (not cold) in the front and the heat works well, but there is no rear-air. The radiator, alternator, and battery have all been replaced recently. I don't know why, but sometimes the parking brake light comes on while driving. The brakes front, rear, and parking brake all work great!! I also have the original 1986 owner’s manual and jack. Also, the front left bright headlight is out, so it will need replacing (the regular lamp works fine). Also, as you can see in the pictures there is a sunroof over the front two seats. Overall, this is a fantastic van, it's unique and fun to drive. It will turn on a dime and park in any parking space. With the rear-seats out it will hold any amount of cargo. I run antique plates on it, but it would just take a trip to the DMV to change that over, you'll have to do that anyway if you buy it. Depending on whether or not your state requires inspection you will need to fix the front right bright headlight and a small hole in the muffler in order to pass. This van is also really great on gas (around 20mpg)! I hope this van goes to someone who will take care of it, these vehicles are collector’s items and very popular among some communities. Thanks for looking!
