Vehicle Detail
This is a very nice 1964 Honda 305 Dream. I installed a very rare and exceptionally clean early Honda C72 gas tank and seat I sourced in the Netherlands. I also converted the handlebars to a low rise bar from a 68 Honda 305 Super hawk. If you have never ridden a Dream with low bars you are in for a real treat. It changes everything! They actually handle pretty good and are just much more fun to ride. You won’t find another Dream that looks of rides like this one. The tank cost me a fortune but once on the bike it changes everything. I have the original seat and tank in perfect condition if you want them instead. I have owned this Dream for 11 years. I painted it using the best PPG paint and did a fresh top end on the motor about 5 years ago. I only opened up the motor because it was out of the frame. Just piston rings, valve springs and a head gasket to freshen it up. The motor is VERY STRONG. Sounds awesome and shifts smoothly. I have always ran it without baffles to keep the rust out of the pipes. Believe me they are RUST FREE! This is a New Mexico desert bike and it shows EVERYWHERE. There is ZERO RUST on this bike! The rims, spokes and hubs are the nicest original, unrestored that I have ever seen. The paint has a scuff by the key and a mild tweak to the lip at the back of the front fender (see photos) Otherwise it has held up very well. Always stored inside. The gas tank is PERFECT on the inside with ZERO RUST. Never a liner or even a fuel filter required. I did re-chrome the skins on the tank to really highlight the very unusual shape. Brand new Firestone Wide whites 1 year ago cost me over 300 bucks. They ride awesome. Both mufflers are original. The right one has a scuff at the back and the left one has a dent near the side stand. (See photos) They could both be re-chromed and straightened if you prefer. I just choose to live with them. I do have a clear New Mexico title. However, it is titled to the motor only. The VIN and the engine number are the same on the title. I learned this was fairly common in New Mexico as most Department of Motor Vehicle employees could not find the VIN# behind the motor so they just titled these with the only number they could find (on top of the motor). I have seen three old Hondas like this in New Mexico. I never highlight the VIN behind the motor and they never ask. One number seems to be enough on these old bikes. Your state may be different so I want to be very clear about what the title says. What you see is what you get here. This is the only paper you will get with this bike. If you are looking for a fantastic running and sounding Dream in the best color combination ever with a unique look you may never see again, this Dream is for you. Best of all......NO RESERVE to put this machine in a good Honda loving home. I will meet your U-SHIP shipper to help with loading or transport to my local Albuquerque, NM Forward Air terminal for shipment in one of their pre-paid crates if you prefer.
