Selling my 1989 Honda GB500TT. I'm sure you know that Honda only sold these in the States for 2 years, thus making it a fairly rare bird. I've owned this bike since June but for personal reasons need to pass her on. But I will someday own another one, that is for sure. The bike is a low mileage example with mild custom pieces. Previous owner removed the rear fender, and changed the taillight and turn signals for a more modern look. Luckily he kept all the pieces he removed and they are part of the sale. It has a super trap exhaust as well for improved performance, but again he kept the original silencer/muffler. I actually like what he has done to the bike, that original Honda tail light looks very bulky and dated. One of the original turn signals is broken, but these are replaceable. The previous owner also rebuilt the wheels with new spokes. The bike itself runs like a champ (they all seem to). It starts easily when cold with either the electric starter or the kick start. It has newer tires with lots of life left and recently had the carb cleaned out and a new plug put in. The chain looks like it may be ready to be replaced and the battery is over two years old so might need to be swaped out sooner then later, but beyond that I don' t know of anything that needs to be done to it. The bike is 24 years old and hasn't been kept in a museum; there is light oxidation on some of the metal bits and a chip on the frame here and there. Kinda like you'd expect on a bike of its vintage. The tank has a soft dent on the left top rear; it is about an inch a half long and an inch wide. It looks to me like the kind of dent that could be pulled out. I tried to show it in the pictures but it didn't show well. Overall, a very nice bike in good condition. Current California registration until January 2014 in my name Any questions please ask.
