1990 Chevrolet Cheyenne Full Size Truck Longbed Hi all, i bought this truck two Christmasees ago as a gift for my wife becouse she had kept telling me she wanted a new truck that looked good for driving to town. We live on a farm and have already had a truck that is almost idendical to this one and she loves it and so do i, but as it is a farm truck its paint andall has been scratched and dented. Anyway A friend of mines uncle got into some legal trouble and needed money fast so i saw it as a good buy at the time. I bought it from him which is a man in his mid 70's and disabled, he was the second owner of the truck as he had bought it from one of the school districts in the state at auction. The truck had only one small dent by the dor post on the passengers side about the size of my thumb. Apperently whomever was driving it in the school had hit one of the stick up islands that are in the parking lots of the community colleges and cracked the oil pan, well next thing is the motor locked up becouse all the oil leaked out and noone was checking it. the old fellow bought it and had a complete rebuild done on the engine, it starts and runs like new, i have never had a problem with it. the old fellow rteally just used it as a project truck and parked it in his garage and would do little things to it as he had the time and money. anyway the truck looked about 95% restored when i bought it from him. almost like new. When i bought it i didnt like the color on it which was kind of a pale yellow (not the BIG BIRD Yellow) , so when i picked it up from him it was about 6 weeks till x-mas and i took it straight to a local paint shop. I picked out a Mid-Dark Brown with gold metal flake paint (it was a toyota paint- very costly i might add) and he tore the truck down and painted everything, under hood, door jams, inside of bed, ect. As he was doing that i removed the original seat and took it to an upolsterer that i know and he striped it down to the frame, took out old coushen and all and completly redid the seat, looks brand new as well, i also took out the stock radio that wasnt working and ordered a AM/FM/CD/MP3 Radio, it also has USBports for a thumb drive and iPOD + iPhone, it has a remote control brand new in the glove box as well. I dont know really why you would need a remote control for a truck radio, but anyway its there. At about this time it was x-mas and i gave it to my wife as her gift that year, well she loves the truck but tells me after a week or so that when she said new truck she really ment an SUV, kind of like the Explorer that i drive. Well long story short, i go buy her a Ford Escape which she loves and we have driven all over the state, many states actually. But that still leaves me with the truck here fir sale. I put it up for sale after i bought her the Ford Escape and had a few people looking at it. Then at the end of February this year i got really sick when i was in arizona and have been in and out of the hospital anot not able to work or much of anything else until recently. So now i am putting the truck back up for sale again,, the truck has about 68,000 original mile on it, all the stats are up above. I have kept it under our car shelter the whole time i have had it except for those about 400 miles i put on it, put it this way i ran 1 tank of gas plus the $10 dollars i put in it not to long ago through it.
