For sale is 1970 (1969 model year for back then) International Scout 800a. The Scout is very solid! It has been a California truck since new as far as I can tell. It has no rust/rot. The hard top had some spots around the upper ridge but, I have fixed that and painted the outside Ford Performance white ( single stage urethane). The inside of the top is not finished...I welded in supports and had intensions of bedliner or "Lizard Skin" . The 304 engine has all new gaskets, piston rings and bearings. Runs great!! When I bought the truck it was sitting awhile and had a blown head gasket. The carb is rebuilt (factory holley 2bl). My plan was to swap a cummins 4bt, that is also for sale on another listing. The only reasonI'm selling it is I have an opportunity to purchase some land.... The Trans is a T-18 4 speed. It is like new and shifts tight as well as the 4 wheel drive ranges. The trans is also unsynchronized first and reverse. It has a dana 44 rear and I think dana 30 closed knuckle up front. I started doing body work...It needs a skim coat and block sanded then painted. The inside back half is bedlined but, I was waiting to do the engine swap and dash to do the rest. I just drove it a couple hundred miles and it runs great. The tires on the other hand are old and need replaced. The Scout is close to a millions years old and needs work. If you can handle that, it's perfect!! I will not ship, and you have to pay me before you can have it!!! Thanks.
