I will start with the things that need to be fixed. Tune up has occasional skip when driving, could be related to the spark plug wires as they are over 10 years old also needs spark plugs. It needs a A/C compressor belt, might need valve cover gaskets and last the left rear control arm needs bushings replaced. The heater controls (wheels) are stuck may need some WD 40 sprayed into the cables. Now a little history on this car. This Vette was my aunts she was 89 years old and still drove this car up to 88 years old. She passed away 3 years ago. She drove the car only in the summer and put on about 1 - 300 miles a year. I have had the car for 3 years and have taken it out for a ride about 3 - 4 times in the summer short trips. In 3 years i have put on about 2 - 3 hundred miles. I did not drive it much as i am too big for it, major uncomfortableness for me. Every time i get in or out of the car i hit my head on the t tops. Remove t tops you say, yes i have done that but the top of the windshied metal part obstructs my view. My weight is a little on the high side. The car is absolutely beautiful. About 5 years ago the car underwent a restoration (not complete). New interior, new carpets, new floor mats, new driver side window mechanism the window used to go up and down slowly so that was also fixed. The interior color is saddle. Hardly used still looks brand new. She had a seat cover on the driver seat as not to damage it in any way. The interior is leather. It has seat belts, the kind that wrap around your waist. At the time of restoration couldn't find shoulder harness seat belts. The bag for the t tops to be stored in while they are off the car is still in really good condition. The engine is a 350 ci. with an automatic transmission. Runs very good and is reliable. The car didn't start once so she had the battery replaced and it has been fine since. I leave the battery on a trickle charge for the winter months. As i mentioned earlier when your driving once in a while you feel a skip in the engine and that leads me to believe it needs a tune up. The distributor was replaced 4 years ago with a electronic one made the car more reliable. The radiator was replaced. The water pump was replaced. New shocks in the front and a new i think its called a power steering control valve, the old one was leaking. It has brand new mufflers and chrome tip extensions put on this summer. The body. This car originally was a burnt orange color, my aunt didn,t like it so during the restore she had the body block sanded and painted the car Competition Yellow clear coated and buffed. The gloss on this car is like a mirror or like someone put a sheet of glass over the paint. The only defect i can find on the body is the front bumper now has a small crack which occurred during the winter while it was put away. New England weather hot cold wait a while and you will see all 4 seasons in one day here. 5 years ago she had the car appraised she was thinking about selling it. The appraisal came in at 17,500.00. i do have the reciepts for most the parts that were purchased for the restoration. I will not say buy this one because it is better than the others.
