Up for sale is one of the rarest Porsches ever made,a 1986 Porsche Carrera M 470,1 of only 36 built in 1986 !!!.It is registered in the Turbo Look website, and is also the first car builtand imported to the US, again also confirmed by the registry. in 1986 only 36 M470 Cabriolets were built.The M 491 denotes it as being a Carrera Turbo Look with factory Flared Arches and Turbo Brakes.M 470 denotes front and rear spoilers deleted as well as the front treatment of the front Valence, in essence it is the Roaster Version and precursor of the 1989 Porsche SpeedsterThe car was originally finished in Crystal Green Metallic Green with Blue Interior, a very special combination and of questionable taste.At some point it had a small fender bender on the left side but not serious, the front hood was replaced as the front ticket is missing. The car has the clear California Title, and current registration till 2014.Thankfully, the car had a full repaint in Grand Prix White.The Blue Interior was also completely redone in a more fitting Red Ostrich Leather, including dashboard, carpets, and allknee pads, etc.by it's last owner. It had a new top installed with electric closing mechanism, new trunk carpets and new top half tonneau.The mileage has been signed off at 026,129- as being original, and now reads 028,429-There are no, however any records to confirm this.There is an original toolkit that comes with the car.The previous, owner was a well known Porsche tuner and the car runs well.It currently has a non Factory exhaust which may not be legal in some States, as it is quite a bit louder than the stock one.Please ask all questions before bidding,and have any inspections carried out BEFORE the auction ends and NOT after.
