1955 Studebaker Commander BARN FIND, This car was found in Southern California stored inside a garage. Stored since 1967.Bearcat V8 Motor,6 Volts, Radio Delete,Original Factory Paint, NO RUST ANYWHERE, SOLID FLOORS,SOLID TRUNK FLOOR.Interior is clean, Needs carpet. Roll up Windows, NO A/C. Steering Wheel is Perfect has no Cracks,Missing Horn Rim. D/S Vent Window Cracked This is a Unmolested Virgin Car. Great for just a Stock Driver or a First Time Hot Rod. I cleaned out the car,Washed it and Buffed it with Compound,Cleaned all the Chrome with Mothers Polish. Looks like a new old car. I cleaned the Motor,Cleaned the Carburetor,Replaced the Spark Plugs adjusted the Points, Cleaned the fuel linesand added NEW gas, Installed A New 6 Volt Battery. It Started right up and Runs like a new car, Trans was low on fluid, I added transmission fluid and the car now goes in all gears.The Brakes do not work as of now. I ordered a New Break Master cylinder and hope to have it in soon.All 4 tires were rotted out and the car has 4 rollers. Needs tires. The Car is Straight, Has a few dents but nothing major, The only real damage is the Front grill. I had the Radiator rodded out, New Hoses,New Belt, New Thermostat.
