SEND US YOUR BEST OFFER! LET'S GET A DEAL DONE! You are bidding on a Rare 1951 Studebaker 1/2 ton shortbed stepside truck that retains much of its originality while boasting some upgraded options. The truck is an older restoration where the truck received a nicely restored interior with the addition of a late model leather bench seat. The original dash was preserved and a vintage Studebaker steering wheel was used in conjunction with the upgraded steering column.You'll notice the nicely wrapped interior and headliner that was done in the original style as well. The lights, wipers, and gauges in the original gauge cluster WORK!! Under the hood, the original 85 HP 6 cyl motor was replaced with a later model one and mated to a Turbo 350 3 speed automatic transmission. The truck starts right up and cruises down the road while shifting smoothly through all the gears. Power steering makes driving this truck a breeze!The front end was upgraded to a independent front suspension with Power Disc Brakes in the front. The body of the truck is very straight and the gaps (including the doors) are very uniform. The paint appears to have received the least amount of attention of the other restored items on the vehicle as there are spots of inconsistency and overspray.The truck wears new tires on chrome wheels. This truck is a great driver as it sits and would make a great first classic for anyone that loves these rare vehicles! Due to the upgrades, it would also make a great candidate for a V8 transplant and some hot rod flames! Full Disclosure: There are areas where rust has been cut out in the driver and passenger floors and under the running boards. The floor was replaced with riveted metal and is solid with no cancerous rust remaining. The rest of the floor, the frame and body panels do not show any rust aside from the usual surface rust.
