Here we Have a 1956 Chevy 9 Passenger Beauville Wagon. This Old Hot Rod is more rare than the Nomad. This car has some rare Options for the 56 model year. I will post the ID numbers for decoding. The car has had rust repair as well as signs of drag racing in its past. The last owner passed away and I aquired it from his widow. He installed a power brake booster and I added the front disc brakes. I also installed rams horn exhaust manifolds and dual exhaust with H pipe, for a nice exhaust note. I also replace leaking rear axel seals and rebuilt rear brkes at the time. New shocks were also installed. The engine is a 1967 327 with double bump heads, and rochester 4bbl. It has a saginaw 4 speed with a Hurst Shifter. The tach was dead when I got the car so I installed a period tach, has 2 very cool SW green 2" gauges. Over the last 3 years I have had some pin stipping done by the famous artist Don Rooney, also the roof painted bright orange metal flake for a cool touch. We have taken the car on several 100 mile rides and all is well, she does heat up in traffic, but cools as soon as you get up to speed. The tires are period bias plys for the look , the interior is also a blast from the past with the 70's shag carpet and some original upolstery still there. This is a driver and a hit at any Rat Rod show, all lights and gauges work. The passenger door glass is broken but I like the look. It also has a factory padded dash and tinted glass.
