ST1100 I've owned this motorcycle since 2004 (almost ten years) and it has been great. I bought it for it's power and handling so I can easily take long road trips out of New York City. I now have, a dog, a wife, and a child. :) So any trip out of New York City is made in the car. So needless to say I could repair this beautiful machine but it would just keep collecting dust.The Dunlop tires are good, just a couple years old but not many miles on them. The bike had a full tune up a year ago and the engine runs great and the bike is a dream to ride. However the battery is toast so I've got to jump it to start. Whats Wrong with it: This 1991 ST1100 runs well (powerful) but is in need of some repairs. Unfortunately it has been knocked over when parked a couple of times, once to the left and once to the right... so there's minor cracked stuff on both sides. It's still totally and enjoyable ridable though. Just over 40k miles. Here's what it needs..; a battery, a windscreen (if you prefer), corbin seat has a small hole in the cover, the "tip" covers on both sides are cracked... you can see in the photos. The kill switch is cracked, but I have a brand new OEM replacement. The side cases are both cracked. One just slightly and is still usable. the right side one is possibly beyond repair. I seem to have misplaced the right blinker when I took it off when working on it :S So adding that to the list of parts. The one other problem is that the kick stand switch is sometimes stuck and so when putting the bike in gear the motor will shut off as if the kickstand were down. I've avoided fixing this by just using the center stand and leaving the kickstand up! Whats Right With It: The bike is super powerful and is truly amazing on the highway. It's comfortable for two passengers on long hauls.
