Vehicle Detail

1979 Trans Am 6.6 [403] Barn fresh. I was told this car had 127,000 miles [because trans slips in reverse] and was from Georgia. After closer inspection I began to question that mileage. The doors open and close without dropping, door pins have never been touched, pedals have very little wear. There is no wear on the edge of the drivers seat and all these things that would indicate high mileage. I'm not saying this car has only 27,000 miles because I do not know the complete history of the car, but I can tell you it is not 127,000 miles. It runs and drives like a low mileage car. The floors are in great shape - no rust [covered in Georgia clay]. Rare for a T-top car. If you're looking for a car to restore. this is perfect. You will not spend all your time fixing rust. Someone painted this car years ago and it looks like crap. Don't let the looks fool you, as this car is solid. Four rust spots in right rear quarter as you can see in photo, but the bottom of quarter is solid. Trunk floor is also solid as you can see in photo. At some point someone thought it was a good idea to grind of half of the bird on the hood. I put some paint on it to preserve the hood from rust. I truly believe this car has been sitting for a long time. I tried to show all the bad areas so no surprises to the buyer. I have more pictures if you're are truly interested.
