UNIQUE ONE OF A KIND TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE! This is a beautiful 1978 Triumph Bonneville T140V that has been professionally altered to look like a 60's vintage bike! It has the convenience of left side shifting along with the safety of front and rear disc brakes. This is a MUST SEE bike. The mufflers, air cleaners, side covers, fork gaiters and knee pads are all 60's vintage. Working odometer shows 22,xxx miles. I have no reason to believe that it is not original miles. Starts, runs and shifts very well. New Dunlop tires and brake master cylinder. I probably have around $7k invested in the bike. The top end has been rebuilt by a previous owner but no record of how long ago. Bike does not smoke and SOUNDS AWESOME! The paint on the tank and side covers is newer but otherwise this is a nice original condition bike. It is not perfect but a very nice looking 35 year old bike to ride and enjoy. The only known issue is the tachometer recently stopped working. I had the tachometer rebuilt about two years ago so could just be the cable? Either way, it has no affect on the running or riding ability. If you are familiar with these old bikes, you know that you shift by sound and vibration rather than the tachometer. The mufflers have a few scrape marks that aren't bad but they don't show well in the pictures. The front fender does have a few bumps between the forks that you can feel and see if you look for them. This is being critical but it is an old bike and I want to provide an honest listing. I have enjoyed this bike for about 3 years and must now part with it. I have bought another Triumph and don't have time for both. This is a really special opportunity for someone who likes the look of vintage Triumphs but doesn't want a right side shifting bike with drum brakes! Thank you for looking.
