Vehicle Detail
Own a groovy piece of automotive history! The vehicle is NOT in running condition. It would need to be towed or put on a trailer. This is definitely a project vehicle. There is no expressed or implied warranty - the vehicle is sold "as is". The actual mileage of this vehicle is unknown as the speedometer has been changed at least once. The actual mile is probably quite high. It was running two years ago and has been sitting since. I believe the problem may be with the fuel delivery system but I am NOT an expert, and do not know how much it would take to get it running again. The last time the battery was charged the engine would turn over fine, but would not start. There is a chance that the starter would also need to be replaced as it would not always engage. The vehicle has some major rust problems in the body that would also need to be addressed at some point. I have attempted to get pictures of some of the problem areas. Most of the problems are on the rear half of the vehicle, the rear wheel wells, etc. There is also some rust on the driver side floor. A back seat comes with the vehicle, but it is not attached at the moment. There are some minor electrical problems with the rear turn signals. The "sun roof" is stock about 1" open, presumably rusted in place. On the bright side of things, the vehicle is mostly complete, though it would need some TLC inside and out to get it looking nice again. When it was running it was a very fun vehicle to drive - there is nothing else like it - and it always got a lot of compliments even in its current condition. It is a veteran of many road trips on Dead and Phish tours. I love this bus, but do not have the time, resources, or expertise to return it to running condition. I am hoping it can go to someone who will restore it to its former glory, or who can at least use it for parts so that others may live. I have attempted to describe the bus the best I can, and I have listed all of the problems that I am aware of - but as I said I am not an expert. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to see more pictures. If you are local please contact me through ebay and I can arrange for you to have a look at it.
