Well, they say all good things must come to an end. I purchased this bike in November of 2011 from a gentleman that had lots of toys, and no time to play with them. He was the original owner of the bike. For some 20 years the bike sat in his 6 car garage along with about 20 other bikes and half a dozen cars. There was no restoration needed. What you see in the pictures is how I got the bike. I did take it to Cafe Racer in Ypsilanti, MI for service. They changed all the fluids and got it running in tip top shape. I had the shock seals replaced, new tires installed, changed the oil pressure switch and basically anything else that was routine maintenance. The Bonneville starts virtually first kick after tickling the carbs. Runs great down the road and is a real head turner on bike night. We are building a house 2 miles off a paved road. I just can't see riding this bike down a dirt road so it's time to pass it along to another happy home. I was considering putting this bike in the "Man Cave" but that idea was shot down by Mrs. Fun-Killer. So there you have it.
