Vehicle Detail
SUMMARY: This is a 1965 Classic Mini project, very likely a Cooper S that I bought many years ago with the intention of rebuilding. I will list everything I can about the car; if you have any questions or want photos or dimensions of anything please contact me. THE VEHICLE: What's included in the vehicle: • Body shell • Rear subframe with suspension and brakes • Front suspension with brake rotors, one caliper, splined axles, incomplete. • Left Door with sliding glass • Right door with sliding glass • Rear trunk door. • Hood from another mini. • Minimal extras - wiring harness, lines, etc. What is NOT included: • I haven't found any identifying tags on the chassis. • no "front end" for this car. • no interior, seat, etc. • windshield is broken. No rear side or back window. The car looks to have been someone's unfinished project and had been stored inside when I bought it. I stored it inside as well, but never did anything with it. Currently the metal is in good shape on the upper 95%. Someone has started to weld in new OEM repair panels where there was rust. The floor pockets under the rear windows are showing some rust through. The front floor seam near the pedals looks to have some repair, maybe fiberglass, that I personally would remove and weld. Floor pans are otherwise very solid. It has dual gas tank brackets, remote shifter hole with riveted front plate and several other "S" indicators. TITLE: The title is State of Ohio, 1975 and was signed in 1986 but not transferred. This was sold to me as a 1965 Mini Cooper S project. The VIN on the title reads "CA257L77812". The designation "CA2S7L" should be a Cooper S model based on MiniMania's articles, and I believe the "5" is a documentation error. BID ON IT! This is a relisted item due to previous bidder backing out / non-payment. If you can't pay for it or you can't ship it or pick it up, please don't bid on it! Auction should end SUNDAY EVENING. Available for immediate pickup from 61072 (Northern IL). I can't deliver it. I can store it for a short period with full payment but my goal is to make space in my shop. I am not a Mini expert, so PLEASE ask questions and I'll be happy to take and send photos and information. On Sep-07-13 at 10:45:26 PDT, seller added the following information: INFORMATION ADDED - Trunk lid is very nice and solid. No dents. The cable that keeps it level is attached, otherwise no hardware. Both doors are in similar condition. Good solid shape. Surface rust in a few spots. Bottoms and window ledges are solid. Both doors include glass (x4 panes), latches (x1 missing), and the weather strip is probably original. The glass does slide. These have been stored inside; I just pulled them outside for photos. -Title is going to be given exactly as shown in the attached photo. It is titled as 1965. Please feel free to ask for any information. I will be available all weekend. On Sep-07-13 at 16:21:56 PDT, seller added the following information: A FEW MORE ITEMS Someone just wrote to me in regards to front brakes... I do have the front brakes and suspension FROM ONE SIDE, and the rotor, arms, hub, bearing, axle for the other side. The assembly that I do have has a splined axle shaft and 7.5" disc brake rotors. Ebay won't allow me any more photos so if you want to see them, ebay message me for a photo.
