This is a nice unmolested original Mustang II Fastback. I got it right out of somebody's barn (see pics). I didn't really need it, but it's just like the one my buddy had in high school back in 78! I had to rescue this car and find it a good home... I have five other Mustangs though, so I can't keep this one. It has the original 302 that looks like it has never been apart. Still has the original carb with the ID tag still on it. Has AC, and all the parts are there, but not hooked up. Showing 49,000+ on the odometer, but likely 149,000. No way of telling, since the title I received from North Carolina did not have an odometer statement. I put a new alternator, battery, and fuel pump on it, and fresh oil/filter too, and the car runs and drives, but needs some work to be a driver. Something is pulling the battery down when the car sits. Should be simple, but I haven't had time to track it down. There is no exhaust, but 2 brand new mufflers are included. Comes with a new heater core that will need to be installed.There is one area of rust through under the battery where they always rust out, and a small spot on the driver's door. Otherwise there is no rust other than some areas of surface rust that need attention. There's a couple small dings and dents, but nothing that can't be easily fixed. The interior is very original, right down to the original AM/FM stereo. The only thing added is an under dash oil pressure gauge. Original upholstery is very nice for 35 years old, the carpet has some fading. Windows roll down and up smoothly. Weather stripping needs replaced. I would be willing to bet there's a factory build sheet under the carpet, but I haven't had time to look. The tires are good, and the car still has all 4 of the factory original 13” slotted aluminum wheels! They are all in nice shape and will polish out nicely with some elbow grease and Mother's polish. What more can I say? This baby is a true classic and deserves a proper restoration. I want it to go to someone who will give it the love it needs. I would completely strip it, put it on a rotisserie, and media blast it before doing the minor body repairs and paint. This car will be well worth it, and beautiful if properly done!! I work out of town every other week for 7-10 days, so if you buy it we will have to coordinate the pick-up. It may be up to 7+ days before I can be there.
