The car runs perfectly. Volvo's are extremely dependable especially the ones going back to the 90's and earlier. I have kept all the records since my father owned the car as a second owner. Both he and I kept it up meticulously and it was only within this year that I decided to freshen up the car and replace some existing parts that were worn by the years (i.e. front and rear bumpers, front spoiler, door panel guards, black rubber cargo lining along the roof border that had been cracked from the natural elements. I had put in about $4,000 to refreshen it with factor Volvo parts (have all the invoices to prove). It is difficult for me to part with the car as it has been in the family but even more so because I just spent around $4,000 to make it look newer again. It still has some physical wear and tear but I didn't plan on putting anymore money into it at this time. Now I decided to lease a newer Volvo and so I can't keep 3 cars going at once.
