1983 Honda 750 Interceptor VF750F For Sale is my 1983 Honda 750 Interceptor. This motorcycle is part of my collection. The bike is completely original in every detail and is a true survivor. The bike been in storage in a heated garage for about 8 years. It has always been a good running bike. The bike was stored away by draining the fuel, draining the carbs, removing the battery and covering the bike. It has all of is original components. Original airbox, filter, everything. I have done nothing to the bike except wash it as it was a little dusty. The bike is complete. All parts are here. It has Metzler tires on it. As shown, the bike has its' original tool kit, and original owners manual to the bike. It looks like the manual was never even taken out of the holder, so, I just pulled it out a little bit for the picture. The throttle works fine, motor turns over fine when you put it in gear and push it. Here, you have a complete original bike in all its' original unrestored condition. The tires do not have any weather checking that I can see. The exhaust shows no signs of the bike ever being dropped. The plastic body panels also show no scrapes or breaks or any signs of the bike ever being down. The title for the bike is a clear title. I have included a detailed VIDEO. It had an 86 HP, liquid cooled, V4 engine which sported Dual Overhead Cams (DOHC). The V4's were started a year before with the 1982 Honda Magna VF750C and Sabre VF750S[2] but were adapted for the VF750F in 1983 by reducing the six speed transmission to a five speed because of the change from shaft drive to chain. This reduced the available space in the transmission thus changing to a five speed.[1] Because of new AMA super bike class regulations it required that four-cylinder bikes be downsized from 1000cc to 750cc, and the bikes had to be production based. This regulation created the first Japanese "Repli-Racer" the 1983 Honda Interceptor VF750F designed for Honda's American Motorcycle Association (AMA) VF750F super bike.
