2000 JAGUAR XJR VANDEN PLAS SEDAN only 2 owners, low 71,600 mileage 2001 Jaguar engine/transmissionThis is a beautiful Jaguar Vanden Plas Sedan in British Racing Green with the tan/ivory leather interior. The Vanden Plas is the top of the line with special body chrome, extra burl wood upgraded interior, burl wood trays & more. This is a classic car in the most desired classic British color combo. It has been extremely well maintained. This car belongs to a friend, who just purchased a newer one, so I am assisting his sale. The beauty of the car and condition, see photos, should speak for themselves. Car has also been mechanically upgraded; see below. I have done some research, ran the vin and not even sure if this model was available in USA for this year, as this car was imported down from Canada in late 2004. VIN shows model as 2000 XJR Premium (Vanden Plas). I was told this top of line Vanden Plas model may have been over $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 when new. Vehicle History: This car lived just north of the border in Ontario, BC, Canada. The car arrived in USA end of 2004 with under 26,000 miles (41,600 kilometers) Present owner purchased from Jaguar of Seattle in 2005 with 28,000 miles. It was purchased for his wife; an executive banker. 2 Years ago the owner had typical engine problems associated with the first series (1998-2000) V8 timing chain & tensioners. He took the car to a professional Jaguar Shop, British Auto Center, and had the engine and transmission assemblies upgraded to the late 2001 running gear; with upgraded timing tensioner & chain systems. The running gear had about 20,000 less miles. At present vehicle has only 91,600 actual low miles, and engine/transmission estimated at 71,600 miles. All other systems have been very well maintained. The traction control was disabled, so does show a computer light for that system only. The car has been regularly serviced by a licensed Jaguar shop, oil changed every 3,000 miles using synthetic oils. This Jaguar has the special factory Vanden Plas Factory wheels & newer tires; see photos. This car drives as beautiful as it looks.. lots of power, handles well, smooth acceleration and ultra quiet ride … I took it on the open road and at 85mph… feels like you are only doing 50. This is a beautiful car in and out. One notation of minor fender repair that owner has not had time to do and is less than $200.00; see photos of small area paint scuff marks on drivers front corner upper fender. See the interior burl wood trims, wood panels & extra rippled style Vanden Plas chrome trims on the exterior. The exterior body badging simply says Vanden Plas as a model. This is a XJ series 8-Cylinder engine, top of the line loaded Vanden Plas . It is not, nor has it ever been, supercharged. It does have the powerful factory Jaguar V8 engine. The owner was told car was from Vancouver, BC area originally when he purchased it from Jaguar of Seattle. The Autocheck history shows Ontario, Canada as original area of registration; which is not in British Columbia. This is a beautifully maintained vehicle.
