Vehicle Detail
As far as I know, my wife's uncle bought this vehicle new. He passed away in 2008. His brother then purchased the vehicle for $5000.00 and did about a $1000 worth of maintenance and repairs. (tune-up, exhaust, etc.) He drove it a short while, then put it in storage. A few months ago, he called me and said he was tired of paying storage and wanted to know if I would like the vehicle as a gift. My wife and I are trying to build a retirement apartment off of my shop, which he was aware of, and figured we could sell the vehicle for building materials. I have driven the vehicle about 10 miles. The vehicle, having only 32,000 miles, is in really nice original condition. It runs rough when started, but smooths out after it warms up. I detected no mechanical issues while driving it other than the dual carburetors might need some adjustments. The tires seem new, everything seems to work. Headlights open and close correctly, wipers etc. work fine. I have a clear title for the vehicle. This would be a good vehicle for a Triumph enthusiast who would like a relatively untouched, completely original vehicle that has not been abused or messed with. Obviously, I would like to sell it for as much as I can in order to purchase building materials, but I am trying to be realistic and offer it for sale at a reasonable price. I am starting the bid at $3500, which is way under the appraised value as I need to sell it. There will be no reserve. I am hoping the pictures give most of the information needed to ascertain the condition of the vehicle. Please feel free to contact me if you have further questions or would like additional pictures. Thanks for looking, Lanny On Sep-12-13 at 17:58:38 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted the opening bid of $3500.00 to be the opening bid with no reserve. The Ebay format wouldn't allow the opening bid and reserve price to be the same. The reserve price was entered at $3501.00. I just wanted to clarify as it states in my description that there is no reserve. The next bid on the vehicle will eliminate the reserve price. On Sep-13-13 at 07:56:02 PDT, seller added the following information: I have also had local interest in this vehicle. I reserve the right to sell this vehicle locally and close the auction early if necessary.
