Here is a 1951 R51/2 with no aftermarket parts about 95% complete.It will need a complete exhaust system, center stand, battery, tires, and a few other bits.It is extraordinarily complete and original.There were only 5000 of these models made and very few have survived.It is the MISSING LINK as it was derived from the rubble of the war and reverse engineered from what was left of the 1939 BMW 500.It looks nearly identical except for the valve covers,generator and air filter housing.The bike was kept in my living room for the past 10 years on the credenza in complete climate control atmosphere.All matching numbers.Vin tag on steering neck.Engine,frame and paperwork.Correct 1/22/39 and 1/22/40 carbs,correct early headlight.Correct early Viegel speedo.Sheet metal correct straight and solid.Fuel tank excellent with factory red coating intact.Both front and rear wheels and rims correct.Rims should be painted not chrome. It was completely disassembled when I got it and I assembled it partially.The photos you see are the individual parts and the bike mocked up to show the parts together.The motor was completely disassembled and the internals are in the boxes and have not been installed.The bike will be disassembled when sold for transport.I will not pack for shipping for UPS or US post office.You will have to come with an enclosed trailer or van to pick it up.I will not ship.Make sure you view all the photos and description before you bid or ask questions.The bike comes with a NY State transferable registration and a long paper trail of history.I also have some extremely rare literature for this bike which is no longer available.This bike will need to be refurbished to ride.Listing will be updated with more photos and description.You will see photos of the bike in parts and assembled.
