Vehicle Detail
FOR SALE to the highest bidder - my 1971 Ford Bronco. It has a clear title and current Calif. reg. through April 2014. Winning bidder is responsible for pick up or shipping arrangements. It has a freshly rebuilt 302 V8 motor less than 250 miles ago. New pistons ( engine block bored .030+) and rings, cam, cam bearings, lifters, timing set, rod and main bearings -( crank machined - .010 and .010.) , new freeze plugs, valve guides, valve job done, all new seals and gaskets, oil pump, oil and temperature sending units, thermostat, water pump, radiator rodded and boiled with pressure test, new heater core, radiator and heater hoses, new coolant recovery system, new belts, rebuilt starter and alternator, 2 barrel carburetor rebuilt with electric automatic choke added, new fuel pump, fuel filter with all fuel lines and tank filler hoses replaced, new air cleaner, PCV valve, coil, spark plugs, spark plug wires, MSD electronic ignition distributor. New clutch assembly. New front and rear drum brakes, new shocks front and rear and a new steering stabilizer. New Painless Wiring kit, specific for Ford Bronco. Virtually the entire wiring system has been replaced including the wiring loom in the steering column. The sending units in the gas tanks tested within normal limits, so I didn't replace them, both work and switch on the dash with the manual tank switch at the base of the front driver's seat. All fluids were drained and replaced and all zerks and bearings were packed or lubed. The previous owner had replaced the 3 speed transmission with a 4 speed NP435, it shifts great. Transfercase is a Dana C20, front differential is a Dana 44 with warn hubs and rear end is a Ford 9 inch. Drivelines and Ujoints are good, no vibrations and feel tight. The truck has dual exhaust glass pack mufflers, tires are BF Goodrich and are fair. Paint is ok for a 42 year old vehicle with what appears to be one re-paint, it used to be green. It does have chips, scratches, faded spots etc... some call it "Patina". I have a brand new complete weatherstrip kit for the doors and top,( from Tom's Bronco Parts), that will be included with the sale. I replaced both driver and front passenger seat foam rubber cushions and installed new upholstery kits, the rear seat looked ok. I installed new door latches, window cranks and rear hatch struts plus many, many other little repairs and fixes. It doesn't have a radio, but the Painless kit wiring is all there, very well marked and ready to go. The dash had been cut for a stereo at one time, so I covered the hole. The only thing that isn't hooked up is the horn button, as I didn't have all the necessary hardware for it. This is a very sound rust free body, no rust out anywhere, just a few surface rust areas in the floor boards that I could see. Someone layed fiberglass mesh on the front floor boards, it could be replaced or redone, maybe Herculiner or something like that. Please see the pictures showing the inside and also the under carriage. This little truck is really fun to drive and gets looks and comments wherever I go. Ready for camping, beach , hunting, you name it. If you have any questions please email through ebay and I'll try to answer as soon as possible. Thanks for looking. Vehicle is sold AS- IS. On Jul-27-13 at 20:55:39 PDT, seller added the following information: The electronic ignition distributor is a Mallory and not MSD. Also, it will have a few more miles on it by the auction's end, as I am driving it. Thanks for looking.
