Here is my little Westy for sale. I bought it from original family owners in 2010. I had original bill of sale, brochures and manual. Many many inchs of bills in 3 folders. I went to cruise across United States and Canada for a 3 month 15000 miles trip without big problems only regular maintenance. Montreal to L.A. 6 days with wife and baby of 4 months! Came back and put many $$$ over the last years in it for keeping it tip top long term vacation vehicule. I went a couple of time in East Coast since. My plans are changing now. Serial number is : 2372046045, the engine is the 2.0 F.I. with a lot of power. Tranny and clutch are perfect in all gears. The actual millage is 213 800 miles. In 2011 (less than 4kmiles) I paid 2200$ a professional to rebuilt entire engine. This summer a month ago, it has a big tune up, all ignition parts, wire,plugs, valve adjustement, timming, idle, temperature sensor, fuel filter, new cranking battery, the second deep charge for camping is very good. New hub cap. Oil have been change with filter every 3000 miles or less. It has newer Michelin truck Lt tires (650$) not cheap cars or SUV tire so you can run straight on high ways at 65 MPH and you will not have a flat on gravel and sandy roads. Also, you have a custom 11/4 hitch on the back, really cool for your bicycle rack. Everythings electric works as, lights, flasher, wiper, blower, newer radio with MP3-Ipod jack and Usb. This van has been babied for its entire life and it’s show. Hey we have big winter time here so the Westy is store inside from Halloween to May. The interior is original and in very good shape. Original complete set of curtain, swivel seat, rug, cloth. The pop top tent has been change for a newer 3 windows. The 6 years old base coat clear coat paint job is nice and bright. No rust, no accident, panel are straight with good gap. Floor are rock solid, you can see that this van has been rusted proof. All the seal has been change in the pop top area and the widshield also. The windshield has 2 years old but we had a stone chip near the passenger side vision. Note the dash and front door panel quality, no holes, crack or anything. This 1977 years/model doesnt have the propane stove and it is really a must since the 9/11. With propane on board and security rules, you can’t go everywhere in the State and cross some bridges, tunnels… That is why I bought the one. Also, It is safer and better to cook food outside of the van, less odor and fire problems…. Campmobile equipment includes: Double battery setup, so one for cranking the engine and one deepcharge (marine) for camping gears and lights A power inverter for charging your cell phone/laptop/small electronics, additional 12volts outlet near the rear seat to plug your ice/hot cooler, GSP etc… Table for lunch between rear seat and passenger seat, Table (rare) between driver seat and passenger seat Rear bench in original plaid , seat converting to double bed with locker below. Own a piece of history, a true classic. Bought it and fly in Montreal International Airport and I will pick you there. Bring it home and take time to relax and visit some parts of the country. I sold my Fiat Spider this spring to a nice guy from Oklahoma City and I went home for a nice road trip with is son. This van has 36 years old, it is not new nor a show car, it is a very nice driver van for vintage camping, cruise with family and going to VW meets. There is no waranty on the van, it is sold has is where is. Will not deliver or ship to international. Will make a bill of sale and sign the title for you. It is not a problem to export this in the USA but make your own work and take time to arrange all what you have to. I’m not a wholesaler dealer car, this is my own personal van.
