Vehicle Detail
This car was bought in 1985 and has been stored ever since. Originally, it rolled off the factory floor with the 351 but now has a 428 Cobra Jet and C6 transmission. Pictures of the floor pan and trunk show very little rust. As you can see form the pics this car is very solid and straight. The door plate is on the car, but the picture is out of focus - the door plate numbers are as follows: VIN: 9T02H211011 Door Plate: 63A T 2A 17F 16 2 X WARRANTY NUMBERBODYCOLORTRIMDATEDSOAXLETRANS From the factory: Warranty Number: 9T02H211011Year:91969 Plant:TMetuchen, NJ Body Series:02SportsRoof Engine:H351 2v V8 Unit:211011211011 Miscellaneous Vehicle DataBody:63ASportsRoof, Standard Interior Color:TCandyapple Red Trim:2ABlack Vinyl and Black Kiwi Vinyl, Standard Interior Date:17FJune 17, 1969 D.S.O:16Philadelphia Axle:22.75:1, Conventional Trans:XFMX Automatic On Jul-23-13 at 12:06:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Car is missing fender. Location is actually Belmont Hills, PAOn Jul-23-13 at 12:55:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Answer to the question: "Will the car run?" "When I put the engine trans and rear in that car, everything was just rebuilt. Drove it for about 200 miles, then the car sat for 28 years, outside covered. So, some of the parts were fading and had some rust - like the pulleys for example - so my plan was to take it apart, replace all the gaskets, clean up and repaint all parts in need of repainting, and put it back together. I did the cleaning/repainting, and replaced the head gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, header gaskets, and that's as far as I got. I have a brand new water pump in the trunk, along with all the remaining needed gaskets in order to put it back together. So, yes - the car will run."On Jul-26-13 at 05:31:08 PDT, seller added the following information: PLEASE NOTE: A MACH 1 enthusiast, and eBay'er, just pointed out the following: From an eBay member: "63A is a sportsroof. If it were a true Mach 1 it would be 63C code. You could get yourself in a legal pickle if misrepresented."The guy is right - this car technically isn't a Mach 1. "Mach 1" was anupper-level option package that came with different suspension, etc. This is a sportsroof. No intent to misrepresent!
