Vehicle Detail

Willys fans, check out my '58 wagon. It is a pretty solid driver, a good runner and in overall decent shape for an unrestored 55 year old. It has the desirable and hard-to-find Warn overdrive - which works well - and a Koenig Model 51 power takeoff. I do not have the shaft that connects the PTO to the front of the vehicle to drive the winch or whatever. This wagon steers easier than most Willys I've driven. It starts right up and runs good. It has been converted to a 12 volt system with alternator. I will let you judge the body for yourself by checking the pictures; I believe it's better than most. The chrome (grille bars, bumpers, rear bumper wrap-arounds and front "beauty bars") have all been rechromed and are perfect except one tiny blemish on the left bumper guard that I've tried to show in one of the photos. You probably know what rechroming costs these days so I won't bother you with how much I've spent on this. Inside, the seats are as shown in the photos; they are the original seats, the rear ones are usually missing on the wagons but these are intact. The headliner is missing (I have the bows - see photo) as is the rest of the interior trim. The glass is mostly good, one stone chip in the right-side windshield, some delamination on the "sliders" and rt. side wing window. The left slider is cracked as is the rear hatch window. Both door locks work - same key as ignition. The horn works, wipers and speedo and odometer do not work. The steering wheel looks almost like new. I have disconnected the fuel and temp. gauges; they need to have resistors put in their wiring to drop the voltage form 12 to 6. The heater motor will require a voltage reducer also. The brakes do not leak or pull to the side but I feel they should be improved or upgraded for safer and faster stopping. My wagon can be driven as-is or upgraded as you desire. You will get plenty of thumbs-up and comments at Home Depot or the corner store with this wagon. I have a very reasonable reserve on this vehicle. Please do not bid unless you are willing and able to follow through with your purchase. Please do your homework regarding shipping cost before bidding. No bids accepted from persons with less than four feedbacks. I reserve the right to cancel any bid from someone with an unfavorable feedback rating. This vehicle is being offered "as is" and no warranties or guarantees are expressed or implied. Successful bidder to pay $500 deposit via PayPal within 72 hours after sale. Balance to be paid by cash, bank cashiers check, bank-to-bank money transfer (preferred) or US Postal money order within five days of purchase. If paying by bank cashiers check I will retain title and vehicle until the check clears both buyer's bank and my bank. This could take two weeks or more. I am adding these conditions only because of past experience. Buyer must pick up vehicle within 30 days after sale. E-mail me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
