Vehicle Detail
California Car for its entire life (except for the 1.5 years that I have owned it). Runs strong, no overheating, great corner carver, not a show car but great driver for the money. Much of my description below comes from the original advertisement so I can't confirm all of the information but everything the previous owner stated seems to be accurate. Triple Webers 40 DCOE with 32 mm chokes (have more detailed jetting info if interested) Estimated 200 hp at crank (up from 150 hp stock) Paint Job approximately 5 years old No rust anywhere!!! 5k or so miles on rebuilt engine L26 engine block bored .030" over Balanced crank E31 240z (higher compression) head Stage 3 Schneider cam Jet coated 6-1 headers Crane Cams Fireball ignition systems Electric fan radiator with manual override switch High volume fuel pump Fuel regulator 17 lb flywheel 280zx 5 speed transmission - 1979 280z distributor K&N individual air filters Canon long runner intake manifold Flat top high compression pistons 2.5" exhaust with Magnaflow race muffler Energy polyurethane bushings throughout Suspension Techniques sway bars and strut tower bars MSA fiberlass bumpers R200 rear differential with 3.90 posi gear Tokico HP gas shocks Suspension Techniques springs Konig Rewind 14" wheels Dunlop Sport A2+ tires 280zx alternator upgrade Replaced/upgraded fuse to MSA ($175) Rewired/relayed headlights and parking lights to increase brightness and decrease voltage running through fuse box Upgraded clutch to Exedy stage I racing clutch kit (part # 06805A); resurfaced flywheel, new slave (NOTE: mistakenly stated is was a Stage II in this ad initially) Transmission entirely gone through - no need to rebuild so just replaced all seals and gaskets Restored steering column light and directional switchs; replaced windshield washer motor, everything works Added 2nd fuse box for extra electronics Upgraded quartz clock - $179 Replaced different and transmission mounts Repaired air blower motor - vent and heater work well Replaced cardboard glove box with trimmed plastic box from 280z (easier to remove to get behind dash) Upgraded rear speakers CD player/iPod adaptor/Stereo all work fine (not overpowering though - fine at idle and low speeds)All fluids recently changed; valve lash recently adjusted Extra small parts included; more stuff, too much to list Needs: Nothing major; great driver the way it is. I use it (unless the weather is bad) for my 50 mile weekly trip to the airport - very dependable hasn't let me down. Body: generally very good; previous owner did not do a very good job when the moved the mirrors and removed the emblems (see photos and video) Interior: a little tired on the inside but any nicer and I would feel bad about driving it frequently; dash cap, kick panel, center console (see photos and video) PAYPAL (or other method) $500 deposit required with 5 days; will extend this period if you need a few more days to inspect Bidders with low score or negative feedback may be rejected unless you make arrangements with me; please contact me if interested. 646.283. seven-two-five-six (prefer text) This 240z is sold in "As-Is" and "Where-Is" condition with no warranties, expressed or implied. Vehicle is also advertised locally and seller reserves right to end auction early and cancel all bids if sold outside of ebay.
