Vehicle Detail

1956 Chevrolet Belair Sport Coupe ORIGINAL PATINA CONDITION To me the words BARN FINE is a car stored in a barn for many years that is full of mice and other rodents that will just destroy a car in no time, This 56 Belair was not found in a barn. This is a especially a very nice original in Patina condition that was kept in a very nice clean garage in Hayward, Ca. for over 30 years. I bought this classic from the 3rd owner who only had car for 1 year. I have restored many 55,56,57 Chevys but this 56 I could not take apart and restore, when you buy this car you can see that nothing had been done, Has original Sierra Gold and Adobe Beige paint from factory, never no body work was done that I can see. It dose have a few dings here and there. Please feel free to call me at (209) 346-7018 if you have any questions or would like to see more photo's, but please only if you are serious and have funds on hand, (Thanks.) All Stainless Steel trim inside and out are like new, Bumpers are not bent and look fine, Grill, parking lights and other front end chrome in very nice condition, Tail lights have a few pits (normal). Factory Trunk light that works. Car has the original EZ Eye glass in great condition and the window frame chrome is showroom condition. Windshield has a couple rock chips. window roll up and down smooth and the flippers work like new. Car has all the original weather stripping and rubber (Wanted to leave it alone so you can see how original this car is) I think the trunk mat is original. As you can see in photo's it had to have been wax everyday, I think it looks so nice to see a car in this condition. Needs to be left alone and leave body the way it is, They are so hard to fine in this petina condition. As you can see in the photo's I'm showing you the interior before and during replacing, The seats were very wore out, side panels, Headliner where looking bad also. So I decided to install a new interior in this car. When I removed the old interior I could not be live my own eye's. The floor pans still had the factory tare paper on them, THIS CAR NEVER HAD ANY WATER OR MOISTURE IN SIDE. I have many photo's of the inside. The seat springs where still shinny steel, the cotton was good condition in some of the seats. When we removed the headliner the sound paper was like new. The dash is in excl. condition and everything works. I did not paint any Garnish molding as left them original, I even installed the original sill plates. The dash chrome on speedo and clock bezel's are like new, No pits. I did replace the shift coller as it was damaged. It has a am/fm radio under dash that I thought was cool, looks to be in the 60's or 70's and works great with front and rear speakers. Also has after market emergency flashers that work. The indash original Radio I did not check out, some tubes where missing. I'm sure you will not be disappointed in this interior or CAR. The speedo shows 55,400 miles and by the ware on brake peddle and gas pedal this could be the original mileage, and I think it was all city driving. I got the motor started and smoke's, It looks to be the original motor, Runs smooth but dose it smoke. This will have to be rebuilt or replaced for sure. Car has factory power steering that works great but has small leak (normal for factory PS) I removed all drums and found someone had installed all new shoe's and had drums turned, Has good brake's. Undercarriage is undercoated and drity but no RUST. I have so much to talk about on this car and would take a couple more page's, Please give me a call anytime so I can go over the hole car with you, but please only if your serious in buying, I sure you the price will be right. The best 56 on e-bay and one you can see everything before you buy. Car runs and drive's but can only be driven up on or off trailer. Will need Tail pipe's, Engine rebuild, Tire's, Trans ok. Again give me a call at (209) 346-7018 anytime. Please read my feedback and bid with confidence. I Have a clear title in my name. If you have been looking for a nice 1956 Belair 2dr Hardtop SURVIVER look no longer "Call (209) 346-7018, Make cash offer before reserve is met" On Jul-23-13 at 14:36:30 PDT, seller added the following information: I would like to mention that I have the original Interior that will go with car, Thought this would be a good kept sake who wins the car, I only wish the biders could see this car in person, No other one like this around, No body will be disappointed in this classic. Please give me a call if you have any questions before you bid, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have, Thank You Hal
