Original owner of 1973 Ford Maverick Grabber with 302 V8 engine; after approx. 52,000 miles a professional Pro-Stock racing team performed the following: Cut the shock towers to be able to fit a BOSS 302 engine. Purchased a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302 engine, had Performance Auto of Chicago redo engine completely - 30 0ver, 12 to one compression, beefed up internal parts and components, etc. Next purchased 429 Ford Torino manual trans, (has hurst 4 speed quick shifter) had Strange Engineering provide unbreakable axles and rear end. (I believe it has a 538 ratio in the rear end) Square steel sub frame underneath makes chassis bulletproof. Moroso high capacity oil pan, electric fuel pump, larger radiator and fan. 1973 front bumper was replaced with a slicker and lighter 1972 bumper. Custom fiberglass hood as shown, lift off removable with pins. Has tow bar with free wheel hubs for transport if desired, slicks (not shown) are included. (wheel wells were trimmed slightly to accomodate the slicks, the car as shown in pictures has the original street tires and mags that i bought for it) The engine has only 12 drag races on the motor, it was in perfect condition when it was stored indoors from 1976 to 2013, no rust! Body is perfect except for one small dent in a fender. This vehicle is a one-of-a-kind with a rare BOSS 302 engine, 429 Ford Torino trans, and unbreakable axles and rear end and the chassis with a square steel tube subframe. I have had this car from birth in 1973 to present; after 40 years I want to find a good new home for it!
