Vehicle Detail

1967 Ford Mustang Coupe Up for Auction today is a stunning Candy apple Red Mustang 2 door hardtop. This west coast Mustang was built on September 27th of 1966 at the San Jose California Ford factory, and was delivered at the Seattle DSO. As you know, West Coast collectors car are the ones to get because of the mild climate and non salted roads. This Mustang still wears it original color paint and a Black crinkle vinyl roof just like it was when it was new. While the paint was re-sprayed some time ago, it is in excellent condition and has lots of luster and shine. The interior is all original except for a center console that is period correct for an updated radio. All seat covers are in great shape and the carpets look fresh. The windows roll up smoothly, and the glass looks great. The odometer reads 61383, but we assume it has been around. The engine is the original, but was rebuilt by Rose City Mustang Ltd. The total for engine and suspension repairs was almost $7000.00. While they did the engine, most of the suspension was gone through as well with new shocks, ball joints and exhaust. This was completed in the summer of 2008. The car has been a garage queen since then, and only driven for a few car shows and rallies. The car has the proper original steel wheels with beauty rings, center tri bar center caps and Red Line tires. All the brakes have been inspected and work great. This Mustang came with power steering and brakes, so it is very easy to drive. The rear end is a 2.79:1 conventional differential. The transmission is a C4 automatic, and as far as we can tell it is the original transmission. Looking at this car you would be very happy to have it in your garage or at any car show. We were very surprised when we looked under this car and did find some rust issues. The main areas that are affected are under the battery tray, which is very common, rear seat pans and part of the floors. Someone has sprayed the underside with undercoating and made some of the repairs. To make this car perfect it will need to have these repairs made. These issues are common, and thankfully this is a west coast car or it would have been completely rusted out. Please understand we are disclosing all we know, you are welcome to have it inspected. A number of companies make these sheet metal items and installation can be handled by any competent body man. Driving this Mustang is a dream. Many of these older cars look much better than they drive; this is not one of them. The new exhaust and fresh suspension make it a joy to cruise in. In my drive shooting the video and inspecting the car, I could not count how many thumbs up I got! I cannot say enough how great this car looks and sounds. Please feel confident in your bids.
