Vehicle Detail

This is a completely original 1975 911S Silver Anniversary Model with the factory silver plaque #255 off the assembly line with a total of 700 cars produced. I am the original owner and purchased the vehicle on 2/12/1975 from my local Porsche/Mercedes dealer in Alabama. I personally drove the car for it's entire life of 191056 miles and I have all maintenance records. This vehicle has never been in an accident. The engine was rebuilt one time in December of 1986 - it had 125821 miles on the odometer at that time. To my surprise, the mechanic discovered that the engine had racing cams (installed at the factory) - this was the first and only time that the engine had been rebuilt. The vehicle is in running condition, however the engine is due to be rebuilt. The original metallic paint with clear coat had an issue from the factory and at that time Porsche gave me $250 to repaint it (even in 1975 this was no help), so it clearly needs to be repainted. However, the body is in good shape with minimal rust for it's age. The main rust issue on the driver's door and door jambs toward rear (see photos). There is NO Rust on floor panels, in trunk or on undercarriage - I can provide additional photos of those areas or any other area that may be of interest. I tried to highlight the worst areas, so there would be no surprises. The car is very restorable. The transmission is original and still functions with no issues. The special cloth, only available on this model is in pretty good condition - as you can see by the pictures of the door panels - they look like they did in 1975. The leatherette on the front seats did not fare as well, though the seat backs survived the years very well. Nothing has been changed from the original vehicle, except that the small air recirculation pump was removed and the connections to the engine plugged with brass seals. I have the original owners manual and case and the complete tool kit including the air pump for the inflatable spare (still works fine). Ihave some beautiful color brochures from the dealership circa 1975 and I have some xerox copies of the factory workshop manuals from the dealership ( a mechanic loaned them to me). I even have the dealer microfiche that shows the complete parts break down with part numbers, pictures . . . I am including quite a few photos that should give you a good picture of the vehicle (shows good & bad). and I can provide more pictures and videos, if you are a serious buyer. And if you have questions, just let me know. Previous auction winner never came forward with payment so I'm re-listing. I set the Reserve Price at $10K.
