1939 Ford standard coupe, garage find, I have not washed or cleaned the car since pulled out of storage, spider webs are all there, last driven 1979, 28,940 miles showing on a working speedometer, 85hp, 3 speed, I replaced the coil and coil wire, distributor, fuel pump, auxiliary gas source, cleaned the battery connections and the car started and idled, no smoke, no noise, radiator held water with no leaks, body is very solid, only rust in body or floor is in the trunk floor in a small indentation that held moisture under the trunk mat as the picture will show, paint is cracking all over the car, previous owner spray painted black primer on some of the areas the paint was flaking, sprayed primer on the trunk floor under the trunk mat area to protect it from moisture under the mat, tool box area is solid with the waffle mat liner, Allstate hot water heater that works, factory radio car with the radio head in the dash but the radio body was taken out for repair and never replaced, antenna is on the car, radio manual, glove box is solid, has the cigar lighter, all the lights work, horn blows, gauges work except for the temperature gauge, battery is not charging, original 6 volt system with a voltage regulator, no brakes other than the emergency brake, gas tank will need to be flushed, wipers do not work, radiator looks very good, does not run hot when I let it run, no noise in the drive train when I let it run in gear on jack stands, I drove the car about one mile with no noise or problems, windows all roll up and down as designed, I have not tried to open the windshield, interior and exterior of the trunk lid is a beautiful thing, original bumpers with the ridges on the back, only beauty ring for the wheels is on the spare wheel, hub caps were in a box in the trunk, set of fender skirts were in the trunk and go with the car, all the glass has been replaced except for two pieces, one back window piece is dated 10 – 37 and the passenger side door glass is dated 1 – 39, headliner, door panels, seat are all useable, seat back raises up and down with no problems, I think you could flush the tank, do the brakes, service the charging system and drive this car, battery and auxiliary gas can do not go with the car, to summarize this car it is an original, solid, low mileage car, with the previous owner doing maintenance on the car as needed for pleasure driving, I have extra pictures, pictures tell the story on this car, I will work with a shipper, car needs to be picked up within 14 days after the auction ends, payment will be cash at pick up or bank transfer of funds within 3 days after the auction ends, I have applied for a Kentucky title in my name, any questions send me an email.
