Vehicle Detail
2003 Dodge Durango SXT 4.7l 4x4. The vehicle was purchased new by my father with 0 miles and given to me at 117k. The Durango has always been well maintained with oil changes at 3k every time with Mobil 1. The mileage is currently a little over 180k, but it starts and runs great. The selectable 4x4 works great and the factory limited slip unit still functions which makes this SUV excellent in snow, mud and sand. The tires were replaced a little over a year ago, but are still in excellent shape. The transmission pan developed a leak about a year ago, so it was replaced with an aftermarket high capacity replacement with new gasket. The transmission was inspected by the shop at the same time and the filter was replaced. Transmission shifts perfectly. The Durango has a tow hitch. Has a newer catback exhaust because the old one had a hole.... I replaced this myself about 2 years ago. I did 4 new rancho shocks at the same time. The vehicle still has a current NJ inspection and was my daily driver until recently when I purchased a brand new truck. Clear title in hand. Interior is in decent shape, but center console was removed several years ago. There is a slight rip on side of drivers seat. (Maybe 2 inches). Otherwise, interior is perfect. Radio, windows and heat work perfect. The bad;Was involved in a low speed rear end collision. The tailgate was dented and rear bumper cover. The tailgate still works fine and to be good as new it just needs a new rear hatch and bumper cover. The drivers rear quarter panel above the wheel has a small dent (This was from when I was filmed on an episode of Lizard Lick Towing. The Durango got hit with a chair during a fight with Bobby Brantley) -No, the Durango was never repoedExhaust studs are broken on driver side. When engine starts, it sounds like it has an exhaust leak. It usually seals up after it warms up, but it needs new exhaust studs. (Common Durango problem)The Durango sometimes stalls at idle, which a shop told me was the Idle Air Control Valve. I was going to replace it myself, but I decided to just get a new truck. -If the SUV idles for a long time, it will eventually stall. It doesn't do it when normally driving around. -When it does stall, it gives a Check Engine Light, although I don't remember what the code was. The shop cleared the codes and it hasn't come back up yet.Lastly, the SUV needs a front end alignment to be perfect on the highway. It slightly pulls to the side at high speed - 70mph.Small rock chip on hoodA/C Doesn't work-Dont know why Everything else to my knowledge is in good working order. It needs a little work, but will be good for quite a few miles. I strongly suggest inspecting the vehicle in person before bidding. Feel free to contact me to arrange a time to come see it. The item will sell to the high bidder and I will accept cash or paypal as payment ONLY.
