Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a 1972 Plymouth Duster. The car is setup for street & strip action and is show ready. You can drive it to the dragstrip and drive it home no with no problems. The car just received a new $8500 show quality paintjob with mirror finish that pops in sun and looks awesome. The color is PPG DBC lava orange with 3 coats of gold pearl. The car was stripped to bare metal and all metal was fixed properly then PPG etching was applied then PPG K38 Surfacer and blocked to perfection. There is 6 coats of PPG DCU2002 clearcoat and it was wetsanded and buffed for a real nice deep wet show finish. All lines and gaps are perfect no junk here. The engine is a 69 standard bore 440 that is studded with Eagle rods, Ross Pistons, Mopar Cylinder heads, Crane gold roller rockers, Mopar cam and a 950 Mighty Demon Carb sounds awesome. The engine is tuned and starts with the turn of the key instantly. The trans is a 727 custom built with revese manual valve body and 3400 stall converter. You can drive it all day long and the engine never gets hot, always runs between 170 to 180 no matter what the temperature is outside. The rear end is a 8 3/4 suregrip,489 casing with 3.91 gears and Moser axles,Mopar Superstock leafsprings with QA1 shocks. This is a well thought combination that works excellent and a lot of time and money went into it. Put a few hundred miles on it to let it break in properly and drove it to the dragstrip and on plain radial tires it ran 11.51 at 121mph shifting it at 5800 rpm with full exhaust(that was first time out). Just put new Mickey Thompson Drag radials and Weld Racing wheels. Car went 10.89 with different gears, converter, open exhaust and drag slicks. I just wanted to keep it nice and streetable to enjoy it more but there is a lot of potential there to go faster if you want it. The car has 6 point roll cage and has been made a full frame also. The only thing that needs attention is the interior if you want to make it full show quality car or leave it as is and make nice street and strip car. I have just invested over $20,000 dollars in the car this last year. The engine build was $6500, trans and converter $3500 body and paint was $8500 rearend $2500 thats just a few things off the top off my head. There is about 3000 miles on the drivetrain now, all the hardwork is done all you have to do is enjoy it. There is a ton more details so for all serious buyers please call me at 812-530-7384. Here is a video of car running and a walk around
