1977 Yamaha 175cc Trials bike near perfect condition for sale by owner. You are looking at one of the hardest to find bikes ever made. Ones who own one won't sell and ones who want one can't find one....especially in near mint condition. This bike's mechanical performance is nothing short of being perfect for what it was designed for, to ride on almost any surface. For example it can crawl up and over logs, rocks at less than walking speed and the engine doesn't labor. It's narrow size is perfect for riding deer trails where a 4 wheeler could not go. Starts on either the 1st kick start or second kick if cold. I just celebrated my 70th birthday and was advised by my doctor to not ride on rough terrain, meaning I could continue riding my street bike. My taking my doctors advice is the only reason I would offer this beautiful Yamaha Trials bike for sale! Almost any size person can ride this strong running bike. I am 6'1" 195 lbs. and the previous owner is 5'6" tall & his weight unknown. The bike has been owned & ridden by 3 adult riders and never raced , the gentleman I bought it was in his late 50's and took extremely good care of bike. Ironically enough he sold it to me because he felt he was "too old to be riding trails" ,and so it was the same when he bought it from the original owner. This bike has NO significant cosmetic and/or mechanical issues and NO rust worthy of mention. On closer examination you can see there are a few scratches in the metal on the polished cases. There are no oil leaks either as all new gasket set replaced the original set when the bike had the new clutch installed, and points and condenser. Compression check revealed excellent rings. Paint was restored and new decals applied as been done by the seller to me. However, with that stated, I had just this past spring had the bike completely serviced by my local dealer with new set of tires/inner tubes, new clutch (the original one showed very little wear) throttle & front brake cables and handlebar grips, new OEM chrome shocks, new sprocket, spark plug, extra hot coil and chain. Nothing was left to chance as likely every moving part of this trials bike has been serviced or replaced with OEM Yamaha parts. The crankcase oil was just changed and the "old" oil was so clean it looked fresh. Both wheels polished and are perfectly true with minor wear. The seat is new with Yamaha logo. All the plastic is good with no cracks . The fuel tank is clean and has no rust. The original owner had the automatic cylinder oiler removed as Yamaha recommended such do to problems with the auto oiler. It has a sticker in the center of the handlebar that says "CAUTION MIX 2 CYCLE Oil 50:1 with gas. I have no idea how many miles/hours it has completed as there is no speedometer on a trails. Strictly judging the amount of use from the clutch plates, the mechanic said "this bike has been used very little and has been kept up incredibly well". There is no warranty expressed or implied as this is a used motorcycle and is bought where is as is. There is no State issued title , because this bike is not certified for highway use.
