Vehicle Detail
1981 Fiat Spider 2000, purchased in 2003, restored to the best of my ability and budget. Loved, garaged and now time to go to a new owner who can take her to the next level. On Jun-27-13 at 16:56:48 PDT, seller added the following information: Recent changes: New(rebuilt steering gear box)New Performance alternatorNew clutch cable Also, I have an 5th wheel that I was planning on using as a spare, I also have original bumpers and rocker panel trim. The seats were re done last year, and the center console pieces were done a couple of years ago along with the door panels. The engine runs strong, but not hot. Oil cooler installed and KN air filter along with Allison's performance exhaust manifold, with no catalytic converter, not required in VA for car 25 years or older. Exhaust leads to Anza muffler dual exhaust ports. The car sounds amazing, and with the new steering gear box is a hoot to drive. On Jun-29-13 at 13:38:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Adding a few more pictures of what the car looked like when I got it and what it looks like now and some from in between. Please keep in mind that I am not a professional at this restoration and there is still plenty left to do, but as far as being able to drive the car, it can be done on a daily basis as is if that is what you want. One last thing, the doors do not lock, the locks are in place but I cannot get the lock cylinders to stay in place. I am sharing this as I believe in full disclosure. On Jun-30-13 at 08:56:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I uploaded several more pictures as requested and can only say this last thing about the car, it is not perfect, and there is more to do. If I had the money and the time, I would never sell it, but I don't and I'd rather see it go to someone who has both who can continue to make this little car special. On Jul-02-13 at 16:38:12 PDT, seller added the following information: NEWS FOR ALL, I have been asked to end the sale early, however I declined as their are so many interested parties. The I am going to reduce the reserve price by $500.00, effectively making the auction price of the car within $1100 of the current high bid. I am not seeking a fortune for this car, I simply want to get some of the 12-18K I invested in parts and labor over the last few years. I am pleased to know so many people are interested and I am excited that there are so many bidders, thanks so much for all the interest. Good Bidding and Good Luck.
