ABSOLUTELY CLEAN FORD EXCURSION LIMITED!!!!!
You are viewing a 2002 Ford Excursion Limited with approximately 111,500 miles on the odometer. This is one of the cleanest 10 year old, 100,000 mile truck we've seen. If you want an Excursion that has the same feel as it did in the showroom, this is the closest you will ever get.
We've driven this Excursion for the last 3,000 or so miles and absolutely love it and find no issues with the engine, drivetrain, transmission etc. The a/c blows ice cold and the stereo works great.
Want the biggest SUV ever built? Here it is. Don't be fooled by the Hummer or H2. Neither are as big as this beast. Well, maybe the Hummer, but really what parking space can you fit in with that-- and, the Hummer doesn't even come close with passenger capacity or carrying capacity. THIS TRUCK IS 8 INCHES LONGER THAN A SUBURBAN!!!
Power-- a Ford V-10!!!!! No high priced diesel gas... a strong Ford 6.8L V-10. On the Ford V-10s we've seen about 11-12 miles to the gallon with or without a trailer. Not to shabby in comparison to a diesel. Don't let the diesel lovers fool you, this truck will start right up in the cold-- no waiting for glow plugs to warm up and it will get about the same gas mileage of any diesel, pull the same loads, and all for a cheaper price at the pump.
This is a collector. While it may just be an SUV, we're banking it will be one of those SUV's that in ten or twenty years people are nostalgic for. They were only made for a few years in the last decade, and are the antithesis of the Prius. We'll probably never seen another SUV built as big, strong and fuel-be-damned again in our lifetime.
Want to pull a boat in style? Maybe a camper? Maybe your classic car trailer? Why settle when you can bring all the friends and extras in this beast of an SUV. Original from the factory, over 300 horsepower and 425 lb of torque sitting on a Ford Twin I-Beam front suspension and coil springs-- this truck is extremely stable on the highway and drives smooth down the road even with crosswinds and semi-trucks along side. The class IV receiver hitch and factory-wired seven-pin electrical connector allows this truck to tow up to a 10,000 pound trailer-- that's a very large boat, trailer or camper.
The Ford Excursion is based off the F-250/F-350 truck, but with all the creature comforts of a luxury SUV. Our Excursion has leather heated power seats, factory wood grain inserts, great sound system with front and rear controls, digital a/c and heating controls with rear controls as well, turn-signal mirrors, adjustable pedals, reverse parking assistant, speed sensitive wipers, auto-headlights, center console with more cup holders than seats in this truck, and speaking of seats-- you can hold 8 people comfortably with plenty of room behind the third row seating for everyone's luggage.
This Excursion comes with top-of-the-line 10-ply Goodyear tires-- all of which appear to be new or almost new! What does 10-ply mean to you? Safer towing with these professional-style high load-bearing tires, and, even if you aren't towing, a blow out with a 10-ply is typically safer than a normal tire since they tend to be more structured in a blow out.
We have reviewed this SUV and have found less than normal wear and tear on it. There are some minor rock chips, two minor paint scratches in the rear near the tail lights (see pictures), one scratch on the tailgate (see picture). The front bumper cover has a nick in it and a space between it and the bumper (not very noticeable) (see picture). There are two bare spots on the carpet in the rear seating areas (see pictures). This truck is amazingly clean in every respect including under the hood. While there are 100,000 miles on this truck, it has been babied its entire life.
