1965 Buick Electra 225 - 4Dr. Sedan Please see the photos of my 1965 Buick Electra 225 sedan and I will send you more upon request. I have owned this car since 2003. The car is original and un-restored with aprox. 2723 miles on the odometer. In 2003 it had 63,000 and was believed to be original. It is in good original shape and is still wearing almost all of its original astro blue poly paint The car was sold new in Chicago IL. It was ordered with the 325HP 401V8 with a 4 barrel carb. called the 445 Wildcat, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, push-button AM radio, Safeguard speed warning speedometer, rear wheel opening skirts and tinted windshield. Here is my assessment of the car category by category: BODY AND PAINT: The body is solid and other than One good ding (see pics) and few subtle dings it is nice and straight. The front fenders appear to have a small amount of body filler in front of the wheels (see pics) The paint has begun to show some age thus does not shine as new. The paint appears to be all original. Some nicks and scratches of course as the paint is 48 years old. I see no evidence of any other body repair anywhere. So overall, this car looks nice and the original paint is in decent shape. You will be proud to drive this car as is or with a repaint the car would be a show winner. I left the original owners window stickers on the car. (see pics) INTERIOR: Very nice original, down to the carpet. Dash is bright. Seats have no separations or rips. I had a new headliner put in back in 2004. I also had two panels on vinyl replaced. Color is a very close match. The rear package tray has some sun fade. Overall very nice original interior. The car comes with dealer added Mark IV auto air conditioning. This I never used as it needs recharging and I just did not care to get it going. It also has a Motorola re-verb sound system and rear speaker. This is a novel added option and is in working condition. CHROME: Very nice original. Front is super with no pitting or marks to speak of. Grille pot metal and headlight bezels very nice. Hood wind-split very nice. Rear is also nice but does have some scratching. MECHANICAL: The car really runs and drives very nicely. like one would expect a low mileage car to perform. Starts up easily, idles smoothly, stops straight, nice and tight. I recommend a adjust or rebuild to the carb as it has a time when coming up to temp that it stalls. But it runs well once it is warm. In my opinion, it is a reliable cruiser that you can feel confident to get in and go. Lights work, horn works, radio, wipers, directional's, heater, speedometer etc all in proper working order. Note: in 2010 I took the car to Harrisburg PA and back to Minnesota. The car ran great the whole trip with no trouble. I had the radiator re-cored in 2012 and new battery in 2013.
