Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is my 1965 Mustang Fastback, C code. It has a clear title. I first restored it back in the 80's and being one of my earlier projects, that meant body putty and a cool paint job. I striped it and added some extras like the after market trunk lid, end caps, and side scoops. After time it was used up and parked. It still has good potential to be restored again as the frame is in pretty good shape, except there are some holes rusted at the shock towers. There are no holes or rust where the fenders bolt on.The rear frame rails look good till you get to where the leaf springs hook up to the trunk on the drivers side. There is considerable rust there. The torque boxes have a little rust. I think it has a 289 two barrel in it. It's been parked so long ago that I'm really not sure anymore.I am sure that it doesn't run. It has a 3 speed manual transmission and the transmission is good.Drive train and drive shaft are all hooked up.The clutch pedal is not hooked up as it is missing the clutch fork and Z-bar.The brake system is there, but the brake pedal won't go down, so consider it as having "no brakes".It has sit a long time. Body wise, there is putty.Putty is on the roof near the front on the drivers side, both front fenders, and on the front of the hood..There is no hood pin. The hood is held down by the safety latch which works well. Both rear quarter panels need to be replaced. Front and back floor pans will need to be replaced. All the glass is in with no cracks. It does not have the original doors, but I do have the door tag that goes with the car. There are holes rusted at the bottom front of both doors, but the inside door frames are in good shape. There is a dent on the driver door. Both doors open and close solidly, but the passenger door handle doesn't work on the outside. It opens fine from the inside. I have the ignition key, but not the door lock key. It needs a dash pad, but has the original radio, all the knobs, ash tray, and all the chrome inside. The driver seat has been replaced with a 66 Mustang seat. I do have the original seat, but it is shot. I will send it in the trunk if the buyer requests it. Back seat folds up and down just fine. The trunk does not lock. It needs a trunk lock and key. I rigged a latch release inside the car, so never installed a lock. This car would make a really nice car again if done right. I have way too many projects and not enough time to complete them all, so its time to let this car go. I've tried to cover as much information as possible, but if there are any questions, feel free to contact me and I will answer. On Jun-18-13 at 10:20:45 PDT, seller added the following information: I need to add a note. Unfortunately, the ignition key can NOT be found. I thought it was around here someplace, but I can't find it.
