Vehicle Detail
Look at this ! A very nice 1986 Jaguar XJS. It has a V-12 with an automatic transmission. Interior has factory AM/FM Cassette. All loaded with tan on the inside and black on the outside. Quite striking ! ! ! I'm selling this for my buddy. He was a mechanic and now he's a truck driver. From time to time he takes on project cars to make a few bucks. This came from an old guy who never drove it. It had some problems develop and he let it go as it was too expensive to fix. My buddy grabbed it and has been messing with it. The local garage had jumped out the fuel pump and when he got it it would only fire one bank of injectors. As it turns out they had used the wrong relays. It was just a matter of running down the gremlins. So now it runs good but the weather stripping was off a bit and the carpet was getting wet when it rained. The headliner was compromised as well. So, he fixed the weather stripping and installed a brand new headliner. Does it leak ? We don't know. He's kept it in the garage for the six months he's owned it. The floors you ask ? They're solid. At this point he was thinking of keeping it for himself but he was aproached by another fellow who had to sell his old car fast to pay for his divorce. So now he has a very nice 1988 Monte Carlo SS that needs a door. It was decided to let the Jaguar go as is. From what we can tell it rides and drives nice. He's never hung plates on it but we drove it around the airport next door. It does have a power steering leak. It's small but it's there. And the rear brakes need calipers. They appear to be stuck. They aren't dragging, they just don't seem to be helping him stop. the parts are cheap but due to the IRS and the inboard braking set-up. If you are reading this and your Jag guy then you know what I'm talking about. Now for the rest. The outside ! It's pretty ! All black and shiny ! I tried to get pics that show the bad points. You paying attention ? Here we go. There is rust in the area of the front splitter. The passenger side front rim has some road rash. There is some spot rust around the passenger side rear wheel. The driver's side is much better except for some scratches around the fuel filler door. The roof, see that "Stuff" those are buff marks from being polished too much. The car was kept inside as far as we know. It show's it ! It got 87,000 miles and it's really exceptional for it's age. This is your chance to own a very nice British automobile at a very low price. How low ? Start bidding and you'll hit the reserve. It's far below book value. Car is located in Northwest New Jersey and is local pick-up only. If you are in Guam and absolutley have to own this car we will assist anyway we can if you make the arraingments. Hit me up with any questions or if you want a more specific picture let me know. Check my feedback and good luck bidding !
