The Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R is a sport bike motorcycle made by Suzuki since 1999. It immediately won acclaim as the "World's Fastest Production Motorcycle", with a top speed of 188 to 194 miles per hour. Hayabusa is Japanese for "Peregrine Falcon", a bird of prey that often serves as a metaphor for speed due to its vertical hunting dive, or stoop, speed of 180 to 202 miles per hour, the fastest of any bird. In particular, the choice of name was made because the Peregrine Falcon preys on Blackbirds, which reflected the intent of the original Hayabusa to unseat the Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird as the world's fastest production motorcycle. As it turned out, the Hayabusa managed to surpass the Super Blackbird by at least a full 10 miles per hour! FEATURES: * Aerodynamic fairing design with low drag coefficient. On Jun-21-13 at 11:09:53 PDT, seller added the following information: An avid biker with two Harleys, my wife bought the Hayabusa three years ago and has only put less than 400 miles. The bike is and always was in excellent mechanical shape. The photos on eBay were taken just before she left for a poker run last year. The only cosmetic issue with the bike occurred on that same day. Half-way through the run, she was pulling out of a parking lot and a car came flying down the street. She applied the brakes, but was not able to put her foot down quickly enough. As a result, the bike laid down on its right side, causing some scratches on the right side body panel. She bought a full set of brand new body panels but never rode the bike again, so we never installed them. They are still in their original carton. The complete set of new body panels will be offered to the winning bidder for $500 (in addition to the winning bid price). If the buyer doesn't want them, she will return the body parts and get back the $750 she paid for them.On Jun-25-13 at 06:34:46 PDT, seller added the following information: I just opened, for the first time, the carton containing the brand-new complete set of replacement body panels for the Hyabusa. All of the body panels are, as I suspected, fully-painted and in absolutely perfect condition. As a matter of fact, they are actually EVEN BETTER than I imagined! To my surprise, all the panels already have all of the original factory graphics applied. (We had expected to spend about $600 more to buy all the decals and have them professionally applied.)
